Second-Hand Uniform Shop
Our wonderful parent volunteers run the PTA second-hand uniform shop, which we are very proud of.
The shop is popular, offers great value compared to buying new (at least 50% less than School Blazer) and is well stocked with most uniform items from blazers & coats to socks & ties. Our volunteers strive to provide a friendly and helpful service and between them have a wealth of experience across school year groups in both prep and pre-prep and are well placed to advise what items your children might need when and for what activity.
As well as buying, parents are also able to sell or donate used uniform through the shop. You can find out more about how this works below. This provides a fantastic opportunity for parents to support the PTA and, if selling, receive a return on some of their investment.
In addition to helping the PTA raise the majority of our funding, the shop also makes a significant contribution to our & school’s collective sustainability goals. Re-using uniform has a hugely positive environmental impact: it reduces carbon emissions and saves resources such as water and energy from the production of new clothes. It also reduces waste by diverting used clothing from landfills or incinerators. Win, Win, Win!

Where is the Shop?
The shop can be accessed via any entrance to the school and is located just off of the central prep playground,
adjacent to the sports hall.
How it Works
Buy Uniform
We stock a wide selection of second hand uniform items (subject to availability).
We also have a small amount of new stock such as ties, socks (school & games), book & kit bags and house swimming hats.
We accept cash and card payments.
To protect the clothes, we kindly ask that no food or drink is consumed in the shop. Thank you.
Uniform Lists
Uniform lists are available on the School’s website https://townclose.com/about/key-information/parents-handbook/ and information about measuring your child is available on the Schoolblazer’s website www.schoolblazer.com.
Return Policy
Items are sold as seen and we are unable to offer returns/refunds/exchanges.
If you purchase something that is no longer suitable you are able to resell items in your own name (see Selling Uniform).
Donate Uniform
If you are happy to donate uniform for the PTA to sell (PTA take 100% of sale proceeds), please leave your bags of uniform with the Shop or Front office during hours of work.
Please bring in clean and good condition items. Items that are not of a good enough quality for resale will be donated to charity.
Sell Uniform
You can sell uniform through the shop and receive 60% of any sale proceeds. To do this, you need to register with us as a seller via this registration form and attach these sellers slips to all the items of clothing you would like to be reimbursed for.
We accept mainly School Blazer Items, with some good quality exceptions. The list of non-school blazer items we accept/reject can be found here.
Please bring in clean and good condition items. Items that are not of a good enough quality for resale will be donated to charity.
You are welcome to help yourselves to safety pins for attaching your seller slips. These are available at the Shop, Front Office reception and Pre-Prep reception.
